Featured (above) is the First Edition of LETTERS FROM THE FIELD 1925-1975, signed by Margaret Mead on a small bookplate (of Chautauqua Literary and Scientific Circle) attached to the front endpaper. Also on the front endpaper is the name of the original ower and her notation describing the event, date and location (CLSC, Chautauqua, N.Y.) where this item was acquired. Included is the quarter-fold leaflet “How to say Happy Birthday to a Legend” in regards to Ms. Mead’s 75th birthday year, 1977. A unique combination & an uncommon book to find signed by Ms. Mead. Contains many b&w photographs.

Featured (above) is an original pencil drawing by Heather Spears, Canadian artist noted for her drawings of authors at literary festivals & readings. The subject of this drawing is author Alasdair Gray, who is seated, hands clasped behind his head and listening to a questioner. It is SIGNED BY BOTH Alasdair Gray and Ms. Spears.
